We are proud to welcome Austen Slade, MD, MBA, a nationally recognized expert in urological innovation, as a visiting speciaist to our medical staff. Dr. Slade is specializes in the treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and is one of the country’s leading practitioners of the HoLEP procedure (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate).

Having performed over 1,000 HoLEP procedures, Dr. Slade brings a level of expertise previously found only at major national medical centers. He completed a prestigious two-year fellowship at Indiana University—the birthplace of HoLEP in the U.S.—where he was honored as an American Urological Association (AUA) Scholar for his groundbreaking research.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Slade is a dedicated educator. He authored the AUA’s core curriculum on the surgical treatment of kidney stones and serves as a national trainer, teaching other urologists the complex surgical skills required for advanced prostate care.
