This year, the Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation will be supporting the efforts of Chief Joseph Days Tough Enough to Wear Pink’s “Miles for Mammograms” fun run/walk.   The event will be held Thursday, July 26, 9:00 am at the Harley Tucker Memorial Arena one block west of Main Street in Joseph.

“We decided our efforts would be best utilized by joining Chief Joseph Days and Miles for Mammograms rather than continue to hold a separate event,” said Foundation Director Stacy Green.  “The funds raised go to the same place — for local, low income women to receive free mammograms.”

Miles for Mammograms replaces the Amy Hafer Race, which had a successful 10 year run, according to Green.  “We enjoyed the Amy Hafer Race and we’re sad to let it go,” said Green.  “We appreciated our participants and sponsors who made the event possible.”
