Supporting Our Community's Health

The Auxiliary is a group of community minded women who work together to raise money for Wallowa Memorial Hospital, through sales of gifts, candy and cards at the hospital auxiliary gift shop, located inside Wallowa Memorial Hospital, as well as bake sales, and other fundraisers.

What is the Hospital Auxiliary?

The Wallowa Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is a vibrant team of approximately 35 women who work collaboratively to raise vital funds for Wallowa Memorial Hospital. We achieve this through:

The Auxiliary Gift Shop

Located within Wallowa Memorial Hospital, our gift shop offers a delightful selection of gifts, candies, and cards. All proceeds directly benefit the hospital.

Fundraising Events

We organize various fundraising events throughout the year, including popular bake sales and other creative initiatives.

Partnership with the Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation

We proudly collaborate with the Foundation, taking the lead in the setup and decoration of Cloverleaf Hall for the annual Healthy Futures Dinner Auction held each November.

Founded in the 1950s, the Wallowa Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has a long and rich history of dedicated service to Wallowa Memorial Hospital. For decades, we’ve been a steadfast pillar of support, contributing to the hospital’s ability to provide quality healthcare to our community.

Become a Member

Membership in the Auxiliary is open to anyone who shares our commitment to supporting Wallowa Memorial Hospital. The application process is simple, and there are no required membership dues. All we ask is for your enthusiasm and dedication.

Our Commitment

As a member of the Wallowa Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, you’ll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
Monthly Meetings: We meet on the fourth Friday of each month, from September to May, at 10:00 am in Wallowa Memorial Hospital’s conference room. Attending these meetings allows us to plan and coordinate our activities.
 
Fundraising Participation: We actively participate in bake sales and other fundraising events, contributing to their success.
 
Annual Dinner Auction Support: We play a crucial role in the annual Healthy Futures Dinner Auction, assisting the Wallowa Valley Health Care Foundation with setup and decorations.
  • Gift Shop Assistance: We volunteer our time to help out in the Auxiliary Gift Shop, providing friendly service to hospital visitors.
